o'hea, the director of transportation at purdue. thank you for joining us. >> thank you for having me. >> lisa: what is this convoy? produce boards, for the special olympics. we have many partners at agencies that participate in this.
it's a chance for our drivers to give back to the community. they are great ambassadors to trucks participating for special olympics and last year we had over 197 trucks in the world's largest convoy. we are looking to improve that this year.

passenger shotgun? >> yes. the drivers this is the most important thing. the drivers enjoy having the athletes ride along with them . and they thoroughly enjoy it and they do that several times through operations teddy bear and espresso. drivers have a
reach across america.. they >> jimmy: you've got a great bunch of drivers? >> excellent drivers. some of the top in the industry. we enjoy supporting them in their endeavor. >> lisa: and one of them managed to squeeze a truck into
the wboc parking lot and that is where sean is this afternoon. he's in a big rig and it looks like they allowed them to get into the driver seat. oh my goodness! >> yeah. they let me sit in the driver seat, but they were very explicit. they said you cannot
start the truck and you cannot drive the truck, but they didn't tell me i couldn't do this (hitting horn) . i'm here you've been driving in this convoy for two years. this will be your third year. exactly. >> sean: why do you do it?
back to the community. i like to participate and help purdue do that. i think it's important. >> one of the cool things about this event at delaware truck convoy is you drive with a special olympic athlete in the see where you are sitting. can
you describe what that feeling is like for you and them as an athlete? >> it's exciting. most of these kids have never ridden in a truck before. they want to know the crowd and it's an exciting time for them. >> this is really cool. i'm
excited. you see these trucks on the road. you don't get to see what it is like inside and they are so cool inside. this is high tech, computers, air-conditioned embeds in the horn (hitting horn). this is your third year. this is in the only event that you participate
in. across america which i like that one because of an air force veteran and we go to arlington and veterans countries and deliver reads to the fallen heroes. i also do teddy bear. were we go over to the holly center and the
residence, we give them rides on the truck for christmas. there excited, too. >> sean: really cool. i want to thank you for doing this and talking to me. the stereotype breaking that stereotype. i'm r going to let everyone know the details of this truck convoy.
